How To Serve Your Audience

How To Serve Your Audience

“What’s in it for me?”

Every reader, listener, or viewer of your content is going to ask themselves this question.

It might come off as selfish, and that’s because it is. Nothing is more valuable than our time, so we should be as selfish about it as possible.

When you take into consideration the aspirations, needs, and desires of your audience, you become of service to them.

You make it abundantly clear in everything you create that there is something “in it” for your audience.

That doesn’t mean your content needs to be boring or so predictable it hurts. But the style needs to be in service to the person you’re making it for, not for yourself. You're going to need to find other ways to feel fulfilled.

So, "What's in it for me?".

The answer? Everything.
